My good friend Madeleine Mason reached out to me to put together overlays for a Vampire the Masquerade game they are running over on her channel.
We started with a brainstorm that included images like these:
So, while we sat in call, I found a font we both fell in love with called 'Antina'. It's gorgeous and pointy and I just new we needed to have the title be in white on a dark background because the font would look like sharp teeth.
Then, to double down on the literal, I made frames that were dripping blood.
To bring in the fun Fresno vibes and some blue we both loves I took inspiration from the "Disco ain't dead" image above and incorporated some blue triangles that draw your eye across the screen.
Lastly, the font I chose for names below cameras is 'Ainsdale' and had the vibe that mixed up love witch with the year the actual play will be set in - 1980.
I added a rounded rectangle with a dark gradient for the backing of closed captions and space at the top for character art.
It was a pleasure making this for Madeleine!
